I read your question concerning masturbation.
This is an issue that many people face, even Christians.
The Bible does not specifically mention masturbation or what to do about it. So we must look at related topics and what the Bible says about them.
For instance, the Bible talks about our thought life being pure.
Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
This tells us to think pure thoughts, not thoughts about evil things. If you are thinking impure thoughts about the opposite sex, then this is wrong.
You also did not say whether you look at pornography. In addition to causing impure thoughts, pornography is wrong because it makes women (or men) to be just sex objects, not the beautiful creation of body, soul and spirit that God meant for them to be.
If you look at pornography, please pray to God for strength to stop.
There are other tips I can give you to fight pornography in your life, but I don't want to go into detail unless it is a problem you are struggling with. Please, email me back and I will be happy to talk to you further.
I do want to encourage you that Jesus died so that you can conquer sin in your life.
Please pray daily for strength to fight impure thoughts and other sin. Jesus will help you to live the way He wants you to. He has sent His Holy Spirit to help you, too. Please pray to God for help and He will help you. The book of James promises that God gives wisdom to those who ask and strength to follow His wisdom.
As I close for now, let me encourage you with these words from the Bible:
2 Corinthians 5:17."If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, the new has come."
