Does the Bible permit the wearing of a wedding ring?
The Bible has nothing to say about wedding rings. The custom of wearing the wedding ring on the fourth finger of the left hand started around the 9th century AD and was popularized by an ancient Roman belief that the vein from that finger flows directly to the heart. Today, the wedding ring is viewed as a symbolic statement of a lifetime commitment to the wedding vows. Since the Bible is silent about wearing a wedding ring, it is up to you to decide whether to wear a wedding ring because there is no right or wrong answer.
