You ask "How many times do I have to pray to Jesus each day?"
Your question makes me think someone is telling you to do some regular ritual, like the Muslim followers who have set times to pray each day.
To answer your question, I think I should ask you a question, to let you start to think creatively about your relationship with Jesus. So here is my question to you.
"How many times a day do you have to talk to your very best friend?"
Some days I talk to my best friend once or twice, sometimes we have lunch together and talk for an hour, about things that trouble me, other times I do not talk to him that day. It all depends, but my relationship is not broken by exactly how many times I talk to him.
Jesus is now my very best friend, I follow Him and tell others about Him. So I talk to Him about my troubles, my desires, and ask Him what He wants me to do today for Him. It is an ongoing best friend relationship. Sometimes I just sit quietly, knowing He is with me and just enjoy His presence.
If you read the Gospels you will see that Jesus talked with his Father God often, sometimes just a quick word, 'Father you hear me' and sometimes He prayed all night long.
Friend, throw out the 'man made' rules, and develop your relationship with Jesus who died for your sins, and when you invite Him into your life, all week long, (not just when you go to church on Sunday), He will be talking to you, and listening when you talk to him.
