Fear is usually the result of our wrong actions.

Steps in defeating fear.

We can never defeat fear entirely. What we can do, is learn to manage fear.

Fear is built in, to help us from hurting ourselves. There are principles to managing fear.

First we know that many things can happen to us, which we cannot control. Who can control those things? Only God, the Creator of us all, who upholds all that happens in the universe.

Hebrews 1:3 "God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven."

We must look to Jesus to take control of what we cannot. That gives us peace, for He said we can ask Him for help.

Second we need to evaluate our lifestyle.

Sometimes our actions cause someone else to be angry at what we do, if it affects them negatively. Adultery can bring the vengeance of a  woman's husband, on the man who touches the husband's wife. Some have killed for that!

How we live, can cause life-threatening consequences!

The past can be forgiven by God, through Jesus, but the man who was wronged, may not be willing to forgive.

Your future can be different if you live as a Christ follower, asking yourself, "What would Jesus do?" before you do something that could endanger you afterwards.

When you live a clean life for God, there is little to fear.

Psalm 1:6 "For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."
