How will I know I have the Baptism in the Holy Spirit (apart from speaking in tongues)?

When you are saved, the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:13 that the Holy Spirit has immersed us into the Body of Christ, the Church, of which He is the head. The Holy Spirit was the Baptizer in this, and you were immersed in Jesus.

John the Baptist said that Jesus would then Baptize you in the Holy Spirit. This is when you are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:11 says when Jesus went to heaven, after he came alive again from the dead, he told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father, Acts 1:4-5 which is the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

This happened on the Day of Pentecost, 10 days after Jesus went up to heaven.

In Acts 2:1-4 tells us of the sign that was heard when they were baptized in the Holy Spirit. The speaking in Tongues is just the sign!

The Power of the Holy Spirit in a believer is known by the change in them, from being quiet about their faith, to wanting to tell everyone about Jesus.

Acts 1:8 quotes the words of Jesus, saying, you will receive power after the Holy Spirit is come upon you, and you will be witnesses unto me. A Witness is one who tells what he knows about something.

When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit you will want to go around telling people what you know about Jesus. He changed your life, and made you a new person, living right and forgiving the past. You will have power to do this after you are really baptized in the Holy Spirit.

I was saved, and for a whole year I was quiet about what had happened to me, but after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, I started sharing Jesus with everyone who would let me. The sign tells you, that you have it; the Power will help you to tell the good news of Jesus to others.
